The "First Twelve" is a highly sought after collection, especially for those new to collecting the vintage Star Wars line. These were the first figures released for the original Star Wars movie. At first some were released as mail away "early bird" figures, but later on when sold as carded figures - these were the ones listed on the back of the card.
